Our Technology
Etherlink is a newly developed Fast, Fair and (Nearly) Free Layer 2 blockchain built on top of Tezos. By harnessing the power of Tezos Smart Rollup technology, Etherlink allows EVM builders and users to take advantage of the flexibility, security and self-amendment capabilities of Tezos whilst using all the apps and tools already familiar to them.
The Role
We are on the lookout for a DeFi Engineer to join our team in London. You'll play a pivotal role in pioneering a new category of applications within the Tezos and Etherlink ecosystem. As an Engineer in this small team you’ll contribute to the building of applications on our EVM Layer 2, solving technical problems and supporting DeFi products within our ecosystem.
If you’re passionate about blockchain technology, EVM tech stack and creating innovative DeFi applications then you are the kind of person we are looking for. You will be working with an equally talented and innovative team with the goal of driving on-chain engagement and activity.
What you’ll do
Design, develop, and maintain both DeFi applications and smart contracts
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to implement new features and improve the user experience for decentralized finance applications.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of smart contracts to ensure security and efficiency
Optimize the performance of DeFi applications and addressing scalability issues
Stay up to date with emerging DeFi trends, technologies, and best practices
What you’ll need
Strong proficiency in EVM technology primarily Solidity programming language
Hands-on experience in developing smart contracts
Experience in designing high-quality smart contract architecture with knowledge of the best design practices for smart contracts in the DeFi industry
Solid understanding of blockchain concepts and decentralized finance protocol.
Familiarity with blockchain and protocol security and the ability to identify and address potential vulnerabilities
Pro-active communication and collaboration abilities with native-level proficiency in English
