Context

Nomadic Labs and Trilitech are key contributors to the Tezos blockchain roadmap. These two companies collaborate daily on all aspects of the roadmap, including engineering, business development, marketing, and communication.

Engineering teams own the delivery of Tezos Roadmap and each engineering team works on a different layer of the software stack. When a new feature is introduced, there is a need to coordinate the integration of this feature at each layer. The feature also needs to be properly supported by the Tezos ecosystem to have the best impact on our users. The recruited project manager will be responsible for this cross-team coordination work.

Overview of the Role

As a Project Manager, you will join a dynamic team and report directly to the top engineering management of the Tezos ecosystem. You will be responsible for cross-team planning, execution monitoring, and finalizing projects within time constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Coordination

1. 1. • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
      • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
      • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

• Execution and Monitoring

1. 1. • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget.
      • Develop a detailed project plan across teams to track progress.
      • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
      • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.

• Risk Management

1. 1. • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
      • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

• Team Management and Support

1. 1. • Manage project teams, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are understood.
      • Provide direction and support to the project team.

• Communication and Reporting

1. 1. • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
      • Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a clear and timely fashion.
      • Prepare and deliver regular project updates, presentations, and status reports to stakeholders.

• Quality Assurance

1. • Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards.
   • Conduct post-project evaluations and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• Holder of a minimum Bac +5 degree, preferably in engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of confirmed experience in project management.
• Bilingual in English.
• Strong interest in Web3 and blockchain.
• Experience working in an agile environment is a plus.

• Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of performance indicators and OKRs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

First Milestones

• After 90 Days: Establish clear project plans and align team roles and responsibilities.
• After 180 Days: Ensure all ongoing projects are on track with regular updates to stakeholders.
• After One Year: Deliver at least one major project successfully, meeting all predefined goals and quality standards.
