Axisbits is a Swiss web agency focused on the DACH B2B market. We build Webflow sites end-to-end — from positioning and concept through design, development, and launch. We’re a small, flat team — designers, developers, leadership. We work fast because how we work is structured.
We’re hiring a Senior Webflow Developer to own the technical side of our Webflow practice.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance websites using Webflow and the Lumos framework, ensuring clean architecture and maintainability
- Actively participate in the design process, collaborate closely with designers, and contribute UX/UI improvements before development begins
- Translate project requirements into well-structured Webflow architectures, including complex CMS setups
- Implement and maintain third-party integrations and automation workflows using tools such as HubSpot, Make, Zapier, and similar platforms
- Integrate AI tools into development and QA workflows, using Webflow MCP to speed up delivery and maintain quality standards
- Ensure all delivered websites meet SEO best practices, accessibility standards, page speed benchmarks, and conversion rate optimization principles
- Handle technical client onboarding (CMS training, walkthroughs), provide clear project documentation, and communicate progress through our issue-tracking system; act as occasional direct technical contact alongside the project lead
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, supporting their growth in Webflow development
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, designers, and non-technical peers to propose and implement effective web solutions
- Scope and estimate projects accurately — project leads and clients rely on your numbers
- Own Webflow as a platform — track new features, pricing changes, and incident reports (via our Slack channel)
- Continuously evolve how we build — frameworks, libraries, components, tooling, and new tools or integrations when they improve our process
Must-haves
- 3+ years of professional experience in Webflow development
- Advanced proficiency with the Lumos framework, including component architecture, tokenization, and scalability principles
- Working understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — you know what’s possible with code and can extend Webflow with custom snippets when it helps
- Proven experience building scalable Webflow sites with strong architectural foundations and complex CMS structures
- Experience with third-party integrations and automation tools (e.g. HubSpot, Make, Zapier, and similar platforms)
- Strong design sensibility — you can actively participate in the design process, collaborate closely with designers, suggest improvements, and ensure pixel-perfect implementation
- Proven experience in SEO best practices, accessibility standards, page speed optimization, and CRO
- Experience using AI tools in development workflows, including Webflow MCP, to speed up delivery and maintain quality standards through QA
- Experience leading projects or teams — mentoring junior developers, collaborating with designers and non-technical peers, onboarding clients, and producing clear documentation
- Excellent written and spoken English (professional working proficiency) for daily work with the team and clients
- Realistic estimation — your project hours match real delivery. You scope honestly: no lowballing, no padding.
- Systems-thinking approach — you build with frameworks, components, and libraries rather than one-off solutions
- Autonomous working style — you take direction and run with it, communicating clearly when things change
- Reliability and commitment — when a deadline hits and we occasionally need 1–2 extra hours, you’re there. Those hours are compensated 1:1 in time off. We’re not a hustle culture, but we care about shipping well.
Nice to have
- Experience leading a small developer team
- German language skills (clients are DACH, internal language is English)
- Previous agency experience
- Designer-level skills — you can independently produce high-quality, conversion-focused designs from brand guidelines or your own direction
- Comfortable across a varied tool stack — we use Productive.io for PM, GA4/GTM/sGTM for tracking, and various client systems
What we offer
- Real ownership of the Webflow practice — not “execute the brief,” but shape how we build
- A flat, respectful team that values deep work
- In-house frontend and backend developers for deeper custom work — you focus on Webflow, they handle the bigger custom builds
- Peer-level relationships up the chain — technical sparring with your manager (Head of Website Solutions), and direct input with senior leadership on company direction
- Clear priorities — leadership sets them, the rest is yours to run
- Standard working hours; overtime is rare and compensated 1:1 in time off
- A pragmatic, low-ego culture: we ship, we learn, we improve
- Full-time, remote across the EU, UK, and Ukraine
