We are hiring on behalf of our client – an American media company with an office in Warsaw. They run large-scale newsletter and web operations across finance, health, and business verticals. The design team ships high-volume landing pages and web properties that directly impact revenue. Speed and quality are the two things measured above everything else.

The role

This is a leadership role at the intersection of design, marketing, and execution. You will own the design pipeline end to end: leading projects from brief to launch, managing and developing a team of designers including leads who report into you, and acting as the central traffic manager for all design work across the operation.

You are not just coordinating. You are setting the creative direction, reviewing work in progress, pushing the standard higher, and making sure nothing loses momentum. You bring your own point of view on what makes a page convert — and you apply it every day.

What you will own

  • Design projects end to end: brief, creative direction, review, launch
  • Traffic management for all design requests across the operation
  • Team development: regular reviews, feedback, skill plans, hiring
  • Conversion thinking: you know what makes a page perform, not just look good
  • Design systems and workflows: briefs, review cycles, handoffs, version control

Must-have

  • 4+ years in design project management, creative operations, or a similar leadership role at a fast-paced agency or in-house team
  • Strong understanding of web design and design fundamentals — you give useful feedback and tell good work from average
  • Strong understanding of marketing and conversion — landing pages, not just aesthetics
  • Proven experience leading and developing a design team, not just coordinating one
  • Ability to traffic-manage high-volume design work across multiple projects simultaneously
  • AI-first operator — you already use AI across ideation, briefing, research, image generation, and project management. This is your default, not an experiment
  • C2 English, written and verbal

Nice to have

  • PM certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, or equivalent)
  • Hands-on Figma proficiency
  • Experience integrating AI tools into a design team workflow: Midjourney, AI copy, automated briefing, AI-assisted design
  • Experience with Notion, ClickUp, Asana, or similar
  • Background in performance marketing, affiliate, newsletter, or media

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive salary + bonuses
  • 21 paid vacation days, 14 paid sick days
  • Hybrid format, Warsaw office
  • B2B contract, company covers taxes
