Location: Remote
Contract Type: B2B
Work Model: Fully Remote, Agile Teams
What You’ll Do
- Define & Communicate QA Strategy – Create quality strategies that align with project requirements and architecture.
- Design Test Architectures – Build robust, reusable automation frameworks for frontend, backend, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Select & Integrate Tools – Choose the right testing tools (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, REST Assured, etc.) and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate Early – Partner with architects, developers, and product managers to embed quality in design (shift-left).
- Create & Review Test Cases – Define test coverage strategies and acceptance criteria; provide feedback on developer-authored test cases.
- Enable Developers – Mentor developers to implement effective automated tests and quality gates.
- Address Non-Functional Testing – Ensure performance, security, and resilience testing are planned and executed.
- Leverage AI in QA – Pilot Agentic AI tools to help define, validate, and automate test cases.
- Multi-Project Involvement – Work strategically across several initiatives without owning day-to-day execution.
- Drive Continuous Improvement – Measure and evolve QA processes, tooling, and practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years in test automation, QA architecture, or quality engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks for web (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium) and API (Postman, REST Assured).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6).
- Strong CI/CD integration skills (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#, Java).
- Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Proven experience designing quality strategies for complex solutions.
- Curiosity about the development process — eager to understand how software is designed, implemented, and deployed to ensure quality from the start.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Highly Desired Skill: AI-Driven Quality Engineering
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., LLM-based assistants, test generation frameworks) to enhance QA processes
- Define and institutionalize AI-assisted QA methodologies, including guidelines, governance, and evaluation criteria
- Apply AI effectively in test strategy design, test planning, and test case generation (functional, integration, and non-functional)
- Use AI to accelerate risk analysis, coverage optimization, and defect prediction
- Implement and oversee AI-assisted test automation (including self-healing tests, intelligent selectors, and code generation)
- Evaluate and integrate AI tooling into the QA ecosystem (CI/CD pipelines, test management, observability)
- Ensure quality, traceability, and maintainability of AI-generated artifacts
Soft Skills That Matter Here
- Analytical Clarity – Able to read requirements and architecture, then translate them into logical, complete test strategies.
- Influence Without Authority – Guide developers and teams toward better quality practices through collaboration, not command.
- Multi-Project Agility – Confident working across 2–3 projects at a time without losing focus on quality outcomes.
- Experimentation Mindset – Curious and proactive in testing new tools, including AI, to advance QA capabilities.
