Operator Experience Designer Ukraine-based · Full-time · Kyiv / Lviv

About us We are a defence tech company building an autonomous counter-drone system for Ukrainian frontline units. Our team is based in Munich; our operators and customers are in Ukraine.

The role You own the operator experience end-to-end. You go to the field, understand how operators use the system under real conditions, design the interface yourself, and make sure that knowledge reaches the engineers who build it.

No UX team behind you. You work independently and stay responsible for the result.

What you'll do

• Spend time with operators in the field — observe, interview, document
• Design the operator UI — wireframes and specs for engineering handoff
• Validate designs directly with users
• Transfer insights consistently to the engineering team in Munich
• Travel between Ukraine and Munich regularly

What we're looking for

• End-to-end UX and UI skills — research, design, handoff
• Experience with hardware and software products
• Works independently — no guidance needed to get started
• Ownership mindset — responsible for the outcome, not just the deliverable

• Fluent in English and Ukrainian/Russian

We care about ownership and output. Three years of the right experience beats ten years of the wrong kind.
