We are looking for an experienced Lead System Administrator to own and grow our internal IT function.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you will lead a team in a remote-first company of 300+ people, taking full ownership of technical support, device management, corporate services, and the continuous improvement of IT processes across our distributed organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Admin team workload management
Lead and coordinate a IT team. Prioritize and distribute tasks via Jira ITSM, maintain SLAs, conduct 1-on-1s, and report team performance metrics directly to the CTO.
  • Employee technical support management
Oversee L1/L2 support for 300+ employees via Jira ITSM. Ensure timely ticket resolution, maintain documentation in Confluence, and continuously raise support quality across the distributed workforce.
  • Corporate device management
Own the full device lifecycle — procurement, storage, provisioning, MDM configuration, hardware support, and decommissioning. Maintain accurate asset records and manage equipment for a remote-distributed team.
  • Company services management

Manage procurement, licensing, and access control for corporate SaaS and infrastructure services. Own onboarding/offboarding access workflows, VPN server administration, and vendor relationships.

    What we expect:

  • 3+ years in system administration, with at least 1 year in a team lead or senior role
  • Practical experience with Jira and Jira ITSM — ticket workflow configuration, queues, SLA rules
  • Experience maintaining a knowledge base in Confluence or similar
  • Hands-on experience with MDM solutions (Jamf, Intune, or similar) for macOS
  • VPN server administration experience (Outline, OpenVPN, or similar)
  • Experience managing identity and access (Google Workspace, SSO/IdP, MFA enforcement)
  • Proven ability to manage IT asset procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships
  • Strong process mindset — able to document, optimize, and automate recurring IT workflows
  • Comfortable reporting status and escalations directly to C-level stakeholders
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English

Will be a plus:

  • Experience supporting distributed teams of 200+ people across multiple countries
  • Scripting skills for automation (Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Knowledge of IT security fundamentals and compliance basics (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • Experience with IT budget planning and vendor negotiation
  • Familiarity with Atlassian administration (user management, project configuration, integrations)
