Senior WordPress Developer (Part-Time to Start, Analytics-Focused Entry Project)

We’re looking for a senior, highly experienced developer to join our team and work on an MVP-stage multi-vendor marketplace. This is not a typical e-commerce store; it is a B2B marketplace for software and service vendors with custom architecture, multi-language support, and complex vendor-focused logic. If you have strong experience with custom WordPress builds, marketplace platforms, and analytics integrations, this role will be a great fit.

Starting Scope (Part-Time Engagement)
The cooperation will begin with a focused project: implementing a custom vendor analytics system using BigQuery, GA4, custom events, and vendor dashboards. This is the entry point for working together. If the implementation is successful, we are open to long-term collaboration on new features and ongoing development of the platform.

About the Project

The marketplace includes:
• Multi-language support
• Vendor product and service listings
• Custom onboarding flows
• Complex vendor dashboards
• Advanced user and vendor logic
• Service and product placement instead of a classic cart
• Heavy custom development that pushes WordPress beyond standard use
• A major upcoming feature: a custom analytics module for both administrators and vendors

Responsibilities

Phase 1: Analytics Implementation
• Build a custom analytics pipeline using BigQuery and GA4
• Implement event tracking and data collection for admin-level and vendor-level analytics
• Handle metrics such as product visibility, banner impressions, profile visibility, and engagement
• Propose and build data visualisation (tables or React/JS charts)
• Ensure accuracy, performance, and scalable analytics structure

Phase 2: Ongoing Feature Development (after successful analytics delivery)

• Work on new platform features and improvements
• Extend custom marketplace functionality using PHP, WordPress, JavaScript, and integrations
• Contribute to architecture decisions within the scope of your features
• Maintain clean implementation, performance, and stability
• Work within Agile processes and document your work
• Help improve, refactor, and optimise existing components as needed

Required Expertise
• Strong PHP and WordPress experience (custom plugins, CPTs, architecture)
• Strong JavaScript skills (front-end logic, dashboards, integrations)
• Experience with marketplace platforms
• Experience with BigQuery, GA4, and custom analytics/event-based setups
• Experience with multi-language sites
• Ability to understand business logic and translate it into scalable solutions
• Comfortable with CI/CD workflows and Agile processes
• Ability to work with large, custom codebases
• English B1+ (documentation in English; internal communication in Ukrainian)

Nice to Have
• Experience with B2B SaaS or complex marketplaces
• Experience building reporting dashboards or analytics UIs
• Understanding of caching and performance optimisation in WordPress
• Experience with REST APIs and external integrations
