About the role

You'll design and own backend services and APIs at scale, make architectural decisions and mentor the backend team.

Responsibilities

- Design and build scalable REST/GraphQL APIs in Node.js (NestJS/Express)

- Own service architecture, data modeling and integration design

- Ensure performance, scalability, observability and security

- Manage databases (PostgreSQL) — schema design, optimization, migrations

- Lead code reviews and mentor mid/junior engineers

- Own CI/CD, containerization and production operations

Must-have

- Expert Node.js + TypeScript

- NestJS/Express, strong REST/GraphQL API design

- Relational DB design + SQL (PostgreSQL); data modeling

- Cloud (AWS), Docker, CI/CD

- System design & architecture; testing culture

- 5+ years commercial experience; English B2+

Nice-to-have

- Kubernetes, microservices, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ)

- Terraform/IaC, MongoDB/Redis, observability (logs/metrics/tracing)

- Technical leadership experience
