About the role

You'll design and own backend services and APIs in Python at scale, drive architecture and mentor the team.

Responsibilities

- Design and build scalable REST APIs in Python (Django/FastAPI)

- Own service architecture, data modeling and integrations

- Ensure performance, scalability, observability and security

- Manage relational databases (PostgreSQL) — design, optimization, migrations

- Lead code reviews and mentor mid/junior engineers

- Own CI/CD, containerization and production operations

Must-have

- Expert Python (OOP, typing, async)

- Deep Django or FastAPI (or Flask)

- Strong REST API design

- Relational DB design + SQL (PostgreSQL); data modeling

- Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, CI/CD

- System design & architecture; testing (pytest)

- 5+ years commercial experience; English B2+

Nice-to-have

- Kubernetes, microservices, message queues, Celery/async

- Terraform/IaC, observability

- Technical leadership experience
