We are looking for a skilled Product Video Creator with background in software engineering!

Redocly helps companies build better developer experiences. Our products (Reunite, Redoc, Revel, Reef, and Realm) empower teams to create, manage, and share APIs beautifully. Now, we’re looking for a developer marketer to show the world how it all comes together.

Want to create impactful content that thousands of developers will actually use?

Redocly is looking for a part-time creator who can turn complex technical features into clear, engaging, easy-to-watch videos.

🎯 What You’ll Do

  • Spot interesting or underused features across Redocly products.
  • Create two videos per feature:
    • a short demo explaining what it does and why it matters,
    • a step-by-step how-to video showing usage.
  • Record, narrate, and edit videos that feel simple, polished, and developer-friendly.
  • Publish content in-app and across social channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, X).
  • Review analytics and suggest improvements for future videos.
  • Work closely with product and docs teams — fast, collaborative, no heavy marketing processes.

✔️ You’re a Great Fit If You

  • Have 2+ years of experience creating product or technical explainer videos.
  • Have 1 year of software development experience and understand developer tools + APIs.
  • Enjoy simplifying complex concepts and teaching through video.
  • Can independently record, edit, and produce short technical videos.
  • Communicate fluently in English (written and spoken).
  • Want autonomy, flexibility, and visible impact.
  • Bonus: You’ve worked with OpenAPI, documentation tooling, or Redocly before.

🧩 What Your Typical Day Might Look Like

  • Reviewing new or overlooked Redocly features
  • Writing short scripts or bullet-point outlines
  • Recording + editing
  • Creating shorts/clips from longer videos
  • Publishing content
  • Checking performance and spotting improvements
  • Syncing with product/docs teams

🏆 How You Know You’re Succeeding

  • Feature adoption increases among existing customers
  • Trial users activate faster because the videos help them understand the product
  • More new trials come from people discovering Redocly through your content
  • Support gets positive messages like “Loved the video — more please!”

💡 Why This Role Matters

Redocly wants every feature — even complex ones — to be understandable in under a minute.
Your videos will be the bridge between the product and the developers who use it, showing real value through real usage.

📅 30-60-90 Day Plan (Part-Time)

First 30 Days

  • Learn Redocly products and audience
  • Create your first video pair
  • Establish your workflow for production + publishing

Next 30 Days

  • Produce 4 more video pairs
  • Introduce improvements (subtitles, b-roll, structure)
  • Experiment with short-form content

Final 30 Days

  • Maintain a steady pace of 1 video pair/week
  • Measure impact (views, retention, trial influence)
  • Build a simple content calendar + feedback loop
  • Plan the next set of features to highlight
