Director of Product – OWN Health

About the Role
OWN Health is redefining how people manage and understand their health by creating the world’s first AI Health Account — a single hub that connects medical data, wearables, biomarkers, and lifestyle insights to predict and prevent disease before it starts.
We’re looking for a Product Director who combines deep empathy for users with a strong technical and strategic mindset — someone who can turn data into meaningful, preventive health experiences that feel like having a “digital health twin.”

Key Responsibilities

🔍 Product Discovery & Strategy

  • Lead deep user research and discovery across health-conscious consumers and chronically ill patient segments to refine our value proposition and ideal user profiles.
  • Transform OWN’s health model into a connected prevention storyline, showing users how their habits, biomarkers, and risks evolve over time.
  • Design product experiences that make complex health data feel actionable and human — a mix between Apple Health’s simplicity and WHOOP’s intelligence.
  • Define, measure, and iterate on product-market fit metrics (activation, engagement, health score improvements, retention).

🤖 AI & Data Product Development

  • Evolve the AI layer from single insight generation to multi-stage reasoning, connecting health data across time and context.
  • Design “meaning detection” features — not just showing what changed (e.g., glucose spike), but why it matters and what to do next.
  • Collaborate with engineering on improving model accuracy, prompting pipelines, and personalization logic across users’ digital twins.
  • Build adaptive feedback loops so the AI becomes smarter from user interactions and longitudinal health data.

🚀 Go-to-Market Alignment

  • Work closely with the Marketing Director to design in-product growth loops (e.g., progress badges, health milestones, referral incentives).
  • Shape the onboarding flow so users experience value within 24 hours (health score, preventive insights, or motivational nudges).
  • Define positioning and feature strategy versus existing health apps (Apple Health, WHOOP, MySugr, etc.) through user outcome-based differentiation.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years experience in Product Management, ideally in digital health, AI, or B2C SaaS.
  • Proven track record of leading data-driven or AI-powered product development.
  • Obsession with customer discovery — have conducted 30+ interviews, usability tests, or cohort analyses.
  • Experience building connected insights or analytics products that explain “why” behind metrics.
  • Builder mindset — capable of fast iteration with incomplete data and limited resources.
